Juba[edit]

Well, since you are doubting the info I am providing, let me know:

Who built Juba.

What was the town named before Juba

Have you ever been there?

I lived all my life there. Pls respect this. My ancestors built Juba and we still own part of the city (almost 30% of the buildings) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ghines (talkcontribs)

Give a reference to back your claims of Greek influence in Juba, and your edits will stay. Asserting your knowledge of the town is not enough. --Ezeu 17:00, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. I did a bit of a search for information about your claim and found nothing. Plese provide a credible citation before readding your assertion about the origin of Juba. Thanks, BanyanTree 18:47, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In your response to your incivil and threatening messages in response to requests for citation to your edit to Juba, Sudan: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. - BanyanTree 01:12, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And you are reverted again at Juba, Sudan. One, it is nearly impossible to prove that you are who you say you are, given that this is the internet. Two, even if you did prove it, it would still not be allowed on Wikipedia because it has been challenged and requires a source. Appeals to personal knowledge are not enough. The burden of proof lies with the person who wishes to add uncited and challenged information, not with those challenging it. Now that I have explained this, per my previous messages, I am informing you that you get one more chance to understand this or you may be blocked. - BanyanTree 00:16, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Ghines may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. -- Francs2000 00:40, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
