Kappa Alpha Theta article

Hi I saw that you deleted the list of sisters from the Kappa Alpha Theta article, since I also moved/copied the list to the "List of..." article. I would like to start off by saying that I understand why you did that. One reason why I did not remove the list myself is because I was hoping to create (or that someone else would create) a shortened list or a brief paragraph or two of sisters for the main "Kappa Alpha Theta" article. The main reason why I hesitated on shortening the list myself is because I am not a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and did not want to offend anyone by removing only some members. Is there a way for me to note that (on this article and/or future ones) and to suggest that someone does that and/or ask I should go about it myself? Sorry for bothering you about this, but it seems that you are pretty experienced w/ wiki-editing so I figured you might have some suggestions. Thank you! --armoreno10 23:16, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the message/question! First of all don't hesitate to edit an article just because you may or may not be a member of an organization (though if you are maintain a neutral point of view)! Anyway for 'List of' articles the main page usually has a short paragraph highlighting the alumni, see Alpha Kappa Alpha and Alpha Phi Alpha for Featured Article examples. If you don't feel like adding one you can always add a template to the section requesting that it be expanded (you would probably find the appropriate template here), alternatively you can ask for help at the appropriate wikiproject, in this case the Wikipedia:WikiProject Fraternities and Sororities's talk page. Since this isn't a featured article a short paragraph should be more than sufficient if you want to try your hand at it. If not go ahead and add a template to the section and I'll get around to adding something within a few days. Happy editing and if you have any questions feel free to ask. --ImGz (t/c) 23:48, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestions at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Washington & Jefferson College alumni/archive1. I think that I have cleared all of your suggestions, except for finding the odd formatting for me right before the years listed at George W. Morgan. Maybe you can describe what you're seeing or take a look at the code to see if you can find it? (By the way, I used your code for your userpage! Thanks!).--GrapedApe (talk) 05:17, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

It was a little box symbol, I've gone ahead and removed it. Thanks for the compliment on my userpage, most of the thanks for my design lays at the feet of User:Alison :) --ImGz (t/c) 12:40, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Earle Mack School of Law (cont.)

Thank you for the reply. Sorry for not having gotten back to you sooner. Fortunately, it appears the Drexel article is still "good." I look forward to updating with the class of 2013 scores, and then, officially (finally), with "accredited" scores for the class of 2014. (Note: this is anticipated, not fact.) I appreciate the work you have done to maintain the page. I take issue, however, with your "No Philly papers have mentioned it....It's just a trivial fact." Surely this is not your rubric for assessing worthy information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.116.255.55 (talkcontribs) 05:32, 5 May 2010

List of Phi Kappa Psi brothers is promoted to FL

You were a big part, and this would not have happened without you. You helped earn that star. Thanks, NYCRuss 05:10, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

No problem, glad it went through and congrats! --ImGz (t/c) 19:56, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Questions about Peer Review for List of Alpha Phi Omega members

In response to your comment on the peer review. If this response is more appropriate on the peer review page, I'll move it...

  • Non-standard TOC has been removed.
  • Dynamic Link template has been moved.
  • I'll look at extending the intro. Some mention of why there are so many scouts and university presidents.
  • An external link can be made to the current list of the Alpha Phi Omega website (which is much shorter)
  • Given the template, the easiest way to make the width's consistent would be to have an image on each of the subtables.
  • If the names are the only sortable field, is it worthwhile to have a sort (only other thing that seems to make sense is the chapter, and adding a sort on that is ugly
  • Line has been removed from before Academia.
  • I'll take a look at the two school lists, but it seems that the fraternal lists might be better models.
  • I'll take a look at capitalization, but that will probably be the ugliest to finish.
  • The pin with the H is not a symbol of the fraternity, it was created for Wikipedia. The only similar pins that are copyrighted are with the S in the middle for the brothers and P for the pledges (with appropriate color issues.
  • It isn't regular members vs those with the flag. Those without a flag are brothers of Alpha Phi Omega of the USA, those with the flag Alpha Phi Omega of the Philippines. Using the flag seems cleaner than the info in the chapter box. However I'll see whether that can be done in any way within WP:MOSFLAG
  • For the question marks, they are primarily where the person is known to be an alumnus (and even which national organization), but chapter is not known. Should that be changed to blanks?
  • I'll take a look for the numbers.
  • No disambigs according to the toolbox, but the external link checker... Wow!

Yeah this response is more appropriate at the peer review page - that way others, not just myself, can see what you have gotten to and respond/add comments to accordingly. I have that page watchlisted so I'll respond when you've added these comments there. :) --ImGz (t/c) 16:10, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the peer review feedback! I've nominated the article for FLC: Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Washington & Jefferson College buildings/archive1. I'd appreciate your feedback there, too--GrapedApe (talk) 06:19, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the reminder, responded there. --ImGz (t/c) 17:46, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

I posed a question for the peer review at Wikipedia:Peer review/List of Presidents of Washington & Jefferson College/archive1. Would you kindly check it out, and tell me what you think?--GrapedApe (talk) 05:21, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 17:22, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! This will make editing less arduous when pending changes kicks in. --ImGz (t/c) 17:31, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
That it will... that's why there's a group of admins trying to get a legion of reviewer flags out there before this goes live in... 8 hours. --Courcelles (talk) 17:35, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Hello. In May you added a citation to a book from the "Webster's Quotations, Facts and Phrases" series published by Icon Group International to this article. Unfortunately, Icon Group International is not a reliable source - their books are computer-generated, with most of the text copied from Wikipedia (most entries have [WP] by them to indicate this, see e.g. [1]). I've only removed the reference, not the text it was referencing, especially as other references are already used to verify that text. I'm removing a lot of similar references as they are circular references; many other editors have also been duped by these sources. Despite giving an appearance of reliability, the name "Webster's" has been public domain since the late 19th century. Another publisher to be wary of as they reuse Wikipedia articles is Alphascript Publishing. Fences&Windows 01:45, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the notice. I added two others at the time, and more in the meantime, so removing that one shouldn't be an issue. --ImGz (t/c) 02:58, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

3 Drexel AFDs

Greetings. I have nominated three Drexel University related articles for deletion: Alpha Pi Lambda and List of Drexel University publications and Performing Arts at Drexel University. I wanted to let you know personally, since you're a pretty good contributor and I respect your work.--GrapedApe (talk) 03:35, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the notice. Quite frankly the last two could have been merged into the article without going through the process of AfD, imo. --ImGz (t/c) 03:39, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Also thanks for cleaning up the articles and content forks! I've been meaning to do that but get so worn out from the constant re-insertions and edit wars over nn info (see Drexel Shaft for massive amounts of stupidity), it's easier to work in a sandbox. Anyway I have a feeling that you're probably going to get around to the individual schools/colleges sometime soon here, which is cool since they need a cleanup, but was wondering if you could possibly let me know before you do so. I'm more or less not here until the 20th but after that I plan on going through them. --ImGz (t/c) 04:08, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited Vision in White, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bed of Roses (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Nice addition--thanks! Drmies (talk) 16:06, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

The article Delta Phi Epsilon (professional) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not the subject of multiple third party reliable sources

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Ryulong (琉竜) 07:33, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:HCFitems.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:HCFitems.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:22, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Drexel School of Law page

Hi—my name is Brad Levinson, and I work in the University Communications department at Drexel University. The Drexel University School of Law's name was recently changed to the Thomas R. Kline School of Law, and some information regarding facts, figures and programs is now slightly out of date. I've requested that some updates/edits be made via the Talk:Drexel University School of Law page, where I've used the "request edit" template, disclosed my affiliation, and suggested what will hopefully be viewed as well-cited and neutral ideas for potential changes. I saw that you've contributed to the page in the past, and I'm wondering if you may be interested in doing so again. Also, any suggestions, revisions, or discussions regarding those ideas would also be extremely welcomed. Thanks! --Brad at Drexel University (talk) 18:15, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
