I must say I was very negatively surprised to see you undid my edit on the Wikipedia page for [Jem]. But I don't want this to be an emotional battle of who is right, and to go back and forth between adding and removing. And I don't intend to question your knowledge in Wikipedia editing, just whether you did the right thing according to this particular topic and other topics of it's kind. Whether it was correct according to Wikipedia's guidelines for external links, or if perhaps it's even possible interpret it differently.

I quote you "The links you added are not official to the subject, are commercial in nature or otherwise not reliable.". I very strongly disagree with that statement.

I don't know how well informed you are about this subject and how well you investigated these sites of which you removed the links to. But I have 27 years of knowledge about the subject this wikipedia page is about, including constant contact with several of the original creators and companies.

The links that you removed are fan sites that have been around for atleast 17 years. These are the sites that dig out all the details that evetually end up on this Wikipedia page. These sites are not offering copyrighted material for download such as episodes and music, but reviews and information about products in a way that is to be considered as informative and fair usage. None of the sites are commercial, although one of them has one constant banner on top, which links to the sales of official merchandise directly from the company that makes it. The others don't even have that.

These are perfectly fine websites, some of which cover every piece of info you could wish for from a website, such as what it's cookies are used for, sources, and FAQs of how the website is built up.

These sites are written by recognized authorities on the subject, and contain a substantial amount of content contributed by people involved in the original cartoon and dolls that this topic is about. The sites are very easy to use, neutral to the subject, do not contain alot of heavy coding or applets.

One of the sites you removed, contains no commercial information at all, unless you count a link to the original company that made the entire product to begin with, on it's link page. These sites are first and foremost reviewing merchandise that is no longer available to buy, and certainly not for sale through these sites.

The fourth site you keep removing, is a site far more official than the movie site that you left in there. Infact it's the official website of the current doll line made by Integrity Toys and Hasbro themselves. Hasbro is alot more involved with the doll line than they are with the movie. You are thereby removing the most official site of them all.

The official site does not simply contain information on how to purchase the product, but alot of text and images, and is very informative. Infact it is completely impossible to buy the products in question through that site. It is only informing about them. This is because this company rarely sells it's products directly, but through toydealers.

I think you are very far from correct when using terms as "spam", as you called them in your edit, about these well respected websites that have existed for over 17 years each. Nor do I understand what you mean by calling them "unreliable" or "commercial". And as for undoing my edits without contacting me first, after you realized there was a dispute about this topic, would seem questionable according to Wikipedia's guidelines.

I think you interpreted Wikipedia's guidelines a little too literally and strictly, and edited out anything you recognized as a fan site, which is not what I believe their guidelines say.

If you disagree with the above statements, I would like to know why you consider another fan site like "The Big Cartoon Database" to be okay to link to from this Wikipedia page. It is not a well known site like IMDb.com. The Big Cartoon Database is a fanbased site that is not to be considered as an authority on the subject and did not exist for as long as the sites you removed. It is infact a very generic site with very little content about this topic. It contains many ads, and banners shaped out to look like error messages. Infact I strongly recommend the link to that site is removed as soon as possible.

Here is a list of Wikipedia pages of similar topics, toys and cartoons, that include external links to fan sites, some of which are alot smaller, care alot less about copyrights and sources, and more about personal opinions and commercials interests. I have nothing against these sites either, but you can clearly see it's common practice to include links such as the ones you removed from this topic, and even sites that are worse compared to Wikipedia's guidelines. I don't think alot of people would agree with you if you started editing out all of those links.

This is the case on every Wikipedia page I can find about a cartoon or dolls. How do you explain that the sites you removed from the [Jem] page at Wikipedia are to be considered spam compared to these?

If we were to read it, and follow it strictly, I can assure you there would be no content on Wikipedia at all, because all Wikipedia pages are breaking these rules in many ways. Stub templates

Hey, I am in desperate need of your explanation of your last 53 senseless edits in Stub templates. It was the first try since 2011 to bring some new changes to Wiki. Brand new icons from Google library are in common use, stylistically similar and easily recognizable. Absolutely better than jpeg photos

Nobscot station

it is still there on the west side of Elm st between saxonville and the hultman aqueduct. I know the family that used to live there. I can get a picture if you'ld like. Also, the Nobscot station is also still around. It was moved across the street when the owner of the property it was on died. He was using it as a garage, it sits on the north side of Water st, next to the Hemenway School. I assume this is the first building you are referring to? It does appear to be a former railroad station; however, it doesn't match any of the images I've seen of Nobscot/North Framingham. yes, that is the old Saxonville station. The Nobscot one is not available on street view, I'll see if if I can gat an image today. Replaceable fair use File:Whopper bar.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Whopper bar.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

Re: name

{{Infobox company}} documentation says the name field has to be "The full, legal name of the company, correctly reproducing punctuation and abbreviations or lack thereof. The full legal name of the company may be different from the common name used for the article title." WP:COMMONNAME only applies to article titles. ViperSnake151  Talk  15:08, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
