Grand Central Publishing[edit]

Grand Central Publishing has, on multiple occasions, been reduced to a redirect to Hachette Book Group USA#Current imprints, because, unlike Little Brown and Company (another imprint in the Hachette Group), Grand Central is not found to be a notable division of Hachette. I see that you are presently expanding the article. Unless you are in possession of reliable sources that indicate significant coverage for this division, separate from Hachette as a whole, it is unlikely that you work will be retained, and the article will once again be reduce to a redirect. Please consider this before you expend too much time and effort in the project. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:32, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello WikiDan61, Grand Central Publishing is indeed an official division of Hachette Book Group as you will see from Hachette Book Group's official webpage. I work for Grand Central Publishing and we are trying to create a credible and sourced wikipedia page entry for the imprint. I have all the verifiable information needed and would like to create this page as per Wikipedia's guidelines. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure I'm pursuing this correctly. Could you help?Jtbcreate (talk) 14:37, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, as an employee of Grand Central Publishing, you have a conflict of interest regarding this subject and should act according to Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy. Also, please note that Wikipedia is not a place for companies to create their own "profiles". That being said, if you can demonstrate that this imprint has been the topic of significant coverage in independent media, than please do so. Otherwise, the organization may not merit its own article separate than the article on its parent organization. A good way to start might be to list your sources in a "Sources" section of the article. Once you've done so, other editors can evaluate them to see if they are sufficient to merit inclusion of this topic. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:38, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

August 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm MusikAnimal. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Grand Central Publishing, with this edit without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. — MusikAnimal talk 16:59, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
