However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Template:War on Terrorism[edit]

Hello, have you some arguments to put the Second Chechen War (with its major events) in this template ? The Moscow theater hostage crisis and Beslan school hostage crisis are obviously terrorists attacks but considering that it's the governement (Boris Berezovski with perhaps Putin) itslef who bombed his own citizens to declare the war to Chechen. It seems me a bit problematic. If you agree I'll put a link to the terrorist attacks of the tchtchen on the template ^_^ Mrpouetpouet 22:52, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I perfectly agree with you, about Basayev. The problem is not here. For me the problem is: Is the Second Chechen War part of the war on terrorism (the campaign of the Us all around the world). And for me the answer is clearly no, because first it's a fact that trouble have been ocurrind in Caucasus since centuries (British against Russia, Chamil against Russia, Us against Russia, Armenian and Russia against Turkey, 3rd Reich against Russia etc....) This war is clearly part of this conflict.

And then because, and we must not forget that, the Second Chechen War broke off in 1999, when the bombs exploded in Moscow. Putin (supported by Berezovky => what a mistake haha well done Putin ^^) used this argument to be elected and to declare the war to the Chechen. BUT it's now clear that it's Berezovsky men who bombed innocent Russian citizen. ==> conclusion it's a conflict between Russia and Chechen part of the caucasus conflict and isn't part of the "us worldwide campaign".

However you are right: "Why have you removed from the list of "Major terrorist attacks and plots" the biggest terrorist attacks in Russia (2002 Kaspiysk bombing - 43 killed, 2003 Stavropol train bombing - 46 killed, 2003 Red Square bombing - 6 killed, Russian aircraft bombings of August 2004 - 89 killed)? At the same time, this list has "Glasgow Airport attack" - 1 killed. Do you think that the life and safety of British people valuable than the lives of the Russians?"

My idea was to put the link to Second Chechen War crimes and terrorism in the related articles on the template. Because the conflict is slightly related to al-quaida: "Federal forces In Chechnya destroyed many bandits as citizens of Russia as well as foreign mercenaries, such as Arabs (Ibn Al-Khattab), and members of Al-Qaeda.". I added under that main link, the two main (according to my mind) Chechen terrorist attack => Moscow theater hostage crisis and Beslan school hostage crisis. Obviously the reader have acess to the others 2002 Kaspiysk bombing - 43 killed, 2003 Stavropol train bombing - 46 killed, 2003 Red Square bombing - 6 killed, Russian aircraft bombings of August 2004 - 89 killed) on the Second Chechen War crimes and terrorism article :)
