Thank You Sharon[edit]

It came at a really good time and thank you so much for thinking of me. You truly are a special person. I am proud to call you a friend. --Dakota ~ 02:34, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks![edit]

Thanks for voting!
Hello Phaedriel/Archive 13, and thank you so much for voting in my recent RfA. I am pleased to inform you that it passed with a final tally of (119/1/3), into the WP:100, so I have now been cleared for adminship and will soon be soaring above the clouds. I was overjoyed, shocked, and humbled by the tally, and, most importantly, all the support. Thank you. If there is ever anything you need, you know where you can find me. Take care.

Your kind words meant the world to me. Thank you so much. --Pilot|guy 22:29, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WOW! She's beautiful[edit]

Thank you, thank you so much. You're such an asset to this project! You rule!! - CrazyRussian talk/email 00:47, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't she just so nice to everyone? We need more Wikipedians like her. :) — Nathan (talk) 01:08, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage[edit]

If you could please (no rush) poke around my userpage and clean it up here and there, please feel free. It really needs fine-tuning. I'm sure I can find some cookies, cake or maybe even frozen yoghurt to bribe you with ;)

I can wait. I'll just take a number... *picks up number, sees irrational number, wonders how that got there & who's been playing with the take-a-number machine*

I send a hug in advance. Thanks.

Also, you seem like a really nice person; I look forward to working with you in WP:UPH (that is, if you'll join us)! — Nathan (talk) 01:15, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm wondering if throwing the user-infobox in a separate page would improve my userpage's layout. — Nathan (talk) 06:57, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a million![edit]

Well, one door closes and another will open, so it all works out in the end. Really appreciate the kind comments from you...you're simply top-notch!--MONGO 04:03, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Asimov[edit]

Funny one that you picked... almost an appropriate novel for being an admin on wikipedia :)

"Against ignorance the gods themselves contend in vain."

Yeah, I've read it, many times. I guess .. umm.. we should forget about that one. joshbuddy, talk 13:22, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some Small Help[edit]

Hi, I'm wondering if you can help with something - its really quite small. On my userpage I recently added 2 boxes (under the heading "Pages I've Started") showing things I've created. I wanted to know how to make both boxes have an equal width - thats it. Also, if you have any tips for me about sprucing up my userpage, please tell me. Many thanks, Nesher 15:33, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PS: Great user page!

Thank you very much :) Nesher. I'm most impressed - and how did you get manage to widen the width between the lines (when editing)?

Great work on my userpage[edit]

I like it a lot. I may play around with the colors a bit, but overall it's wonderful. Thanks!--ragesoss 18:36, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Project Newsletter[edit]

It seems to me like a good idea. It would give some sense of direction, besides keeping people reminded of the project. Maybe once a month or so? --Aaron Walden 19:16, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:Beatles has had a newsletter for 2 issues, it's fun and it builds interest. Please feel free to crib from ours if its of any help (I particularly like putting the todolist into it inside show/hides)... Wikipedia:WikiProject_The_Beatles/Outreach/Newsletter will get you started. Others do most of the actual work of creation, but I deliver it every month using WP:AWB and I'd be happy to help out with getting that working right if you need it as well, just give a shout. We transclude it as delivered so it's a static copy, it's only a subpage while being edited. We have a starter template that you subst to get started writing a new issue. Hope that helps. (We cribbed a fair bit of the technique from WP:MILHIST but have deviated since then). ++Lar: t/c 19:44, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This seems like a good plan. Let's set up a temp page and discuss things. --Aaron Walden 20:24, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Beautiful Page[edit]

I clicked on your page when I supported Hero, and I just want to say how moved I was. Your page is absolutely beautiful! Very best wishes, Lion King 20:03, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Today's Star...[edit]

Your words to me on Today's Star are probably the kindest, most beautiful thing anyone has ever said to me on wikipedia. I can't explain to you what it means to me, especially right now, and I can barely express my gratitude to you. The best I can do is tell you how wonderful you are, what an amazing idea today's star is, and how happy I am to see you on wikipedia again.

All my thanks, always, The Halo (talk) 00:28, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you![edit]

Wow, speaking of butterflies in the tummy -- you comments on my talk page actually made me blush! I don't feel I'm anyone to look up to around here, just another wikignome a-toiling in the shadows, but thank you nonetheless. And I'm glad you enjoyed the Duran Duran article! Please let me know if there's ever anything I can help you with. Peace, love and happy dreams to you always. — Catherine\talk 01:11, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello.[edit]

Hi again. Just thought I'd pop around your user talk to say hi since nobody likes coming to my talk page for some reason... :). Anyway, I just read that piece on what it's like being an Indian in the 21st Century or what ever the title is cause I can't remember it now.... I think it's a powerful piece, not all necessarily true all of it, but yes, mostly true. However I don't think it's very inclusive. I don't want to judge or critisize, but it really alienates people rather than bring them together. I mean, I felt sad that you thought I ("white person") was some of those things on there. I would have also felt kinda bad if my name was Smith or Jones. I mean, we don't choose those names, our parents give them to us. I'm just saying I felt somethings in there were could be concieved a bit divisive by someone who doesn't know how caring & cool you are. Even so, I was a bit hurt. Anyway, on the other hand, most of it's very true. But since my name isn't as pretty as an Indian name, could you give me an Indian name? It would make my year/month/day/hour/minute/second/milisecond (choose 1). Thanks, Spawn Man 04:42, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Or you could ignore my talk posts like everyone else & never talk to me again. That's cool with me.... Spawn Man 00:42, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Amazing Userpage[edit]

What an amazing userpage! Great content and great appearance! I've seen a few userpages that you've worked on and they all look amazing. If I ever get enough content to fill up mine, I'll come knocking for a favour! Good on you! Telzer 08:51, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your lovely response. How kind of you to take the time. I'd be honoured if you would do some polishing up of my userpage. But only if you have the time! Many thanks again and thanks for all the great positive energy. Telzer 03:26, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you around?[edit]

Phaedriel, it's Linuxbeak again. Are you around? Can you hop on IRC for a few moments? Linuxbeak (AAAA!) 19:36, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you my friend[edit]

Thank you very much for your message (your words are always so kind), and for your shoulder. I'm glad you got to see the subpage, and I hope you understand that I've taken it down temporarily because it's too personal to me right now for just anyone to read it. I'll put it back up someday when I'm feeling a bit better about the whole situation though (someday soon I hope), and then everyone can see how much that message and your friendship means to me.

Yours (with a big hug back), The Halo (talk) 00:25, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the star[edit]

What a thrill to be the lucky eighth recipient of the coveted eight-pointed star :-). I'm am happy to receive your kind words, they are truly appreciated. I'm probably not as hard working as you think I am, but we won't tell anyone ;). NoSeptember 00:31, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Greetings from London[edit]

Dear Phaedriel, thank you for the lovely message on my page. I meant what I said about the content of your page, and believe it or not, I have a tremendous amount of identification with what you have to say, being a Cockney. Of course I'll show you around London, the real London, were the real people of London are! And if Wembley ever gets finished (two years behind now), we will take you, where you will be with the best supporters in the world! I would love you to sort out my user page, as I really don't have a clue what I'm doing! before I discovered Wiki, I have only used computers to record music and write lyrics. So yes please, I will accept your kind invitation! Yours, most sincerely, Lion King 08:06, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I remember I was in London this time last summer, for a grand total of about 12 hours :P — Nathan (talk) 05:38, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your kind message[edit]

Thank you for your kind words in response to my short scribbling. From reading your talk page, it seems I am only one of many to compliment you and it, so I shall restrain myself to seconding all they write above. I couldn't write it as well as they did. As to something you wrote:

My dear AnonEMouse, first of all, allow me to tell you you have one of the coolest usernames I have ever seen (you know, the kind that gives you the thought "why didn't "I" come up with it first?").

It may amuse you to see that you have been joined in that sentiment by "the sincerest form of flattery", under discussion here and here. :-) AnonEMouse (squeak) 12:48, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other Award page[edit]

There is an infomal protocol, that before an award, or star, is listed on the Wikipedia:Other awards page that it first get vetted on the Wikipedia:Barnstar and award proposals page. I went ahead and made the move for you. Please feel free to have evryone involvbed with your wikiproject comment on the award design. --evrik 15:06, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Anyone can add almost anything to the PUA page! Be Bold! --evrik 15:25, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My user page[edit]

I don't have a problem with you fixing the formatting of my user page - just not the content! Thanks. --evrik 15:25, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Another thing for you[edit]

You can have this. — Nathan (talk) 17:27, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey ^_^[edit]

Hey Phaedriel, how's it going? I got your e-mail; I'm writing a reply :)— Deckiller 21:18, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You![edit]

Thanks for the lovely cake. I turned 14 on June 4th, but I kept forgetting to update my page. Thank you! Karrmann 22:22, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question?[edit]

Hi Phaedriel, just a quick question if I may. I was just wondering what you user name meant. If it's something personal, just tell me not to ask, and I'll be happy to go any, it's just curiosity.

Hope this doesn't come across nosy or pushy in anyway, it isn't meant to be. I just wondered.

Your friend, The Halo (talk) 00:19, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see. I had a quick look to see if it meant something in a forgein language (the closest language I could think of was Elvish from the Lord of the Rings!), but it mostly just came up with your pages here LOL! My name, ah, now that has a bit of a story. As you may have seen on my userpage, I write (hopefully for a living one day). Anyway, I wrote a short story about a superhero once (you know how these sorts of things take your fancy, even when your 19 and shold know better ;) ), and the name of the character was The Halo. I think I picked the name for that character just 'cause it sounded cool, and no other superhero had it, but I liked it so much that I decded to use it here.

Phew! Pretty long explination, but there you go! Thanks for saying I'm an angel btw, you really are too kind....

(*hug*) The Halo (talk) 00:45, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Back from Wikibreak[edit]

Hi Sharon! I just got back from Wikibreak and I felt like dropping you a line just to say hello. :o) I hope everything is going great for you, and I'm sure I'll talk to you again soon. EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 00:47, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.- What do you think of my new signature?

Thank you very much for the warm welcome back, dear Sharon. *hugs back* Anyway, my vacation...first and foremost, it was good to get away from the encyclopedia for a week, even though I did miss it; I should probably make myself have a mandatory vacation once every few months, just to make sure I don't burn out. Anyway, not sure how serious you were about wanting to know about my vacation, but I'm going to tell you anyway, complete with wikilinks. :oP
I went down to Portland, Oregon (via Amtrak Cascades) to visit my girlfriend and attend her commencement ceremony. I spent a week down there and we did many things including visiting the Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site, going on a yacht on the Columbia River, visiting the Tillamook Cheese Factory, camping near Garibaldi, Oregon, and playing many games of Apples to Apples, Mental Floss, and spades (in which we always defeated the opposing team). All in all it was a good trip, but I'm happy to be back in Seattle and back on Wikipedia. :o) </overlinking>
Anyway, thanks again for your reply, and always feel free to send me a message (either via my talk page or email) if you ever need support, advice, reassurance, a good conversation, a hug, a Coke, or anything else I've forgotten to list here. :o)
