This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Pimlico plumbers, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

I do understand the three points. This account was made so that i could update details on the company page which had been created by somebody else so that i could provide the logo and business information and certain PR material. I have no intention of displaying any marketing or mention of our services except in reference to the fact that we undertake them. Hence the lack of me placing any links to the services page or operating times, and only updating, not adding, the reference to our charges page as the link was outdated.

As the IT manager of the company I do understand that wikipedia is an encyclopedia and i use it extensively as such. All information I edit will be factual and come with external references and links, probably from either real business or the BBC so that a record of what the company has undertaken is stored here for people to read.

If you want the content to be more notable, I will, when i have more time expand the article about the company to include more BBC news references and links to national newspaper stories.

Nothing I have posted has been done so to increase business. The only new link to the website being that to the list of number plates we own, which happens to be a constant question from number plate spotters, and while a talking point of the company has no direct financial benefit. Please read WP:COI again. You are requested not to edit the article directly. Please use the article's talk page to discuss changes that you think should be made to the article, providing reliable sources so that your requested changes can be reviewed by other users. – ukexpat (talk) 08:17, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
