June 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Crewe Alexandra F.C. has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Crewe Alex[edit]

Sorry for reverting your edits, looked like you were deleting huge parts of the article at first glance. My bad. --Rror (talk) 08:57, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ada[edit]

Yes but he hasn't actually played yet in the Football League, therefore failing WP:ATHLETE. Saying he will play is crystal balling and cannot be proved, anything can happen between now and the start of the new season. --Jimbo[online] 13:53, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

When he's covered substantially in a few reliable media sources, that coverage will provide the foundation for the article. Please let me know if you ever need help with anything. ChildofMidnight (talk) 18:49, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

UoC Campus Closure[edit]

Hey; I hope you don't mind me changing (not reverting) your edits, but I see no reason how that version was inappropriate at all. I do not wish to start an editwar: that would be totally unconstructive. However, I would like to say that as this is an ongoing issue, I believe that the more available accurate data there is, the better. Once things have calmed down, it could perhaps be made more concise; until then, I think it should be left as is. This should be kept as up to date as possible: we are both on the same side, wanting the same things. Thanks for your understanding in this. If you wish to find me, search for Grayspectre. Cheers, GS --147.143.244.189 (talk) 00:58, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi, User:Rup235, Good to meet another Alex-supporting editor on Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Tom Booth (footballer, born 2004), is not suitable as written to remain published. Booth has yet to play for Crewe and so would not meet WP:GNG / WP:NSPORT - notability criteria for footballers have generally required that they have made their first-team debut in a competitive match (as, for example, Charlie Finney did recently). I've therefore moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline (likely to be when Booth makes his competitive first team debut, and it's reliably reported) and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page (I will be alert to his debut too, so may move the article to mainspace at that point.) Best wishes, Paul W (talk) 11:51, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No problem Paul! Probably getting ahead of myself. Hope you appreciate the squad addition on the current season page! Rup235 (talk) 12:03, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Saw that and liked it. Let me know if there are any things I can help you with. Paul W (talk) 12:06, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could help me find Owen Lunt's birthday to complete the table haha! It's not on the Crewe website Rup235 (talk) 12:17, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Crewe were slow to update their current first-team pages - lots of last season's images and silhouettes of the window signings and loanees - but they seem to have been updated very recently. However, Lunt's page gives a wrong DOB, making him 122 years old! We will just have to be patient in waiting for a correction. (Can't even ask Kenny as that would be Original Research!) PS: Have tweeted to club about the DOB error, so hoping they quickly make a correction. Paul W (talk) 12:29, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Source now updated for Lunt's DoB - I have updated the current season page accordingly. Paul W (talk) 17:30, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Booth article is now in mainspace following his debut at GTFC last night. Paul W (talk) 13:28, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
