E-mail[edit]

I don't need to reveal my e-mail address on Wikipedia. E-mail is enabled, just click on "E-mail this user" in the toolbox which can be found in the sidebar of either my user page or talk page. You can send me an e-mail that way, and be sure that I will get it. Mjroots (talk) 11:04, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Replied by e-mail. Mjroots (talk) 11:44, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My reply to your e-mail has failed to reach you because I got a 554 error (account disabled or discontinued). I just want to say that the issues you raised are being dealt with, but I won't say any more than that on-Wiki. Mjroots (talk) 11:59, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've resent the e-mail. Dont forget to sign your posts by adding four tildes to the end of your posts. Mjroots (talk) 12:12, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Got another failure notice. Anyway, it's being dealt with. Mjroots (talk) 12:14, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thanks but it seems there is problem in the system. Last request! plz e-mail it to if it's possible: <e-mail redacted> Shayan7 (talk) --Shayan7 12:16, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've e-mailed to the alternative address you gave me. Mjroots (talk) 12:32, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just a note to say that the issues you raised have now been dealt with. Mjroots (talk) 13:01, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 12:29, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

many thanks for letting me know. I will do that. Shayan7 12:32, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
I did that but it does not work ! why? Shayan7 12:33, 9 May 2010 (UTC)--Shayan7 12:33, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
The tilde sign should be on the right hand side of your keyboard, near the enter key. Other than that, a button at the top of the edit box inserts the four tildes - it's next to the red Nowiki button. Mjroots (talk) 12:49, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It does work, but not until you press "enter", when the software automatically converts the four tildes into a signature. Mjroots (talk) 12:51, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

I would like to ask you to read some of the pages in wikipedia. 1. Do read stop adding what you believe is true but no expert source support that and stop adding what you like it but has no value to an encyclopaedia. 2. Do read and use wp:talkpage. 3. I am referring to your current editing of pages on Persian language, Sassanids, Iranian Festivals, Greater Iran, ... Please do not confuse Iran with Persian; read about the former and do not confuse the latter with the non-existent poor notion created by LA tvs. Thank you.Xashaiar (talk) 19:09, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Xashariar, thanks for your note but please note that I know what I am doing and I am quite familiar with Wiki style. What I have done is based on historical facts and documents. Please do not talk generally and write exactly what is your point. Thanks. Shayan7 (talk) --Shayan7 09:35, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Iran[edit]

Please see the talk page for a discussion on the inlcusion of Persia in the article. Mjroots (talk) 16:51, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Thanks for your note. I do not know why such a simple issue has became quite compelicative for some of Wiki users! Iran has been called "Persia" for 25 centuries and still in certain contexts is used. "Iran" is just popular since 1935 in English. The majority of sources, documents, maps, etc. have referred to the country as Persia in English. So naturally it should be mentioned in the first line. Many thanks for your attention as well. Shayan7 (talk) (Shayan7 09:41, 15 June 2010 (UTC))[reply]
Hello. I urge you to use the talk page instead of reverting, especially when using edit summaries like "plz do not remove the info without sound documents", when you haven't provided any sources/refs yourself. Thanks! Fin© 12:57, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
which article do you mean? --Shayan7 14:23, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Blocked[edit]

I've indefinitely blocked you for sockpuppeting. You were blocked back in March for puppeting and were warned, yet you came back and did it again. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 03:14, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

what are you talking about? --Shayan7 14:23, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

The article Press Now has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As the notability tag has been repeatedly removed, escalating to PROD. The article has been around for seven months waiting for anyone to find independent sources to support a claim of notability in line with the criteria of WP:ORG and none of the several webpages added are either independent or demonstrate sufficient impact on the historic record.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. (talk) 17:30, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:HayedehDocumentaryPoterDesignbyKamranAshtary.pdf[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:HayedehDocumentaryPoterDesignbyKamranAshtary.pdf, which you've sourced to (poster). I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:41, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
