Thanks FMSKY. Thanks for your comment re. Sheldon Murray. BTW, I totally agree with you. Whilst I can see some merit in SM's view, it does cause difficulties for other contributors and editors. Realistically, if one insists on altering London Boroughs within historical articles, then for consistency, places mentioned elsewhere would also need to be altered. For example, prior to 1970's, the county of Devon was officially called Devonshire. Similarly, places such as Barrow-in-Furness have alternated down through the years between the counties of Lancashire and Cumbria due to boundary changes.
