Not only that, @CycloneYoris:, but an honorary doctorate does not actually confer the title of Doctor on the individual receiving the honour and most universities request the individual not use the title outside of correspondence with the University bestowing the ceremonial title. This is actually covered in our article Honorary degree. It's considered poor form to use the title in the traditional sense. Plus the edits contradict MOS:DOC, as you note.-- Ponyobons mots 20:41, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
