Railfuture

I've re-created the Railfuture article using User:Sladen/Railfuture and including enough notability for it not to be deleted. You might be interesting in helping expand it.Ingafube (talk) 08:22, 25 February 2017 (UTC)

Edinburgh tram map

Is it possible to update File:Edinburgh tramway map.svg to include Edinburgh Gateway station (rail interchange, between Gogarburn and the Gyle)? 86.130.177.238 (talk) 12:52, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Done. Perhaps the layout could be tweaked, but it's there for now. —Sladen (talk) 13:07, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Channel Tunnel

Hi Sladen! Could you please help me understand why you reverted my bot's edit on Channel Tunnel? Please note that reference #31 displays the text "Centenary Edition ed.", which is what the bot was correcting. Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 12:39, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

GoingBatty. Apologies, thought that this edit only made sense for numerical editions "3rd ed." "first ed." and less so for title-style editions ("Critical Edition", etc). Will self-revert, and thank you for taking the extra time to follow up on it. —Sladen (talk) 12:46, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Naked Brothers Band films

Hello! While I understand your desire to move the Naked Brothers Band films to "series-specific non-generic name for disambiguation", that's not how disambiguation works. Per WP:PRECISE, disambiguation should be "precise enough to unambiguously define the topical scope of the article, but no more precise than that". Therefore, per the naming conventions at WP:NCF, "(film)" is sufficient disambiguation until such time that there is another article with the same title as one of those films. Thanks! Fortdj33 (talk) 17:36, 25 October 2017 (UTC)

Hello, User:Fortdj33, thank you for getting in touch. The Naked Brothers Band (TV series) opening description is of a "musical comedy television series". Based on this statement in the WP:LEAD, the convention at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television)#Episode articles was followed, giving "Episode Title (The Naked Brothers Band)". Or was it actually a film series made for theatrical release—akin to the American Pie (film series)? —Sladen (talk) 20:44, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
Fortdj33. *polite cough*. —Sladen (talk) 22:12, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I understand that the Naked Brothers Band films are made from episodes of the TV series. But all of the articles are written about them as "TV movies", and all of them are included in subcategories of Category:Television films. Therefore, they fall under the disambiguation for television films, which uses WP:NCF unless additional disambiguation is needed. Fortdj33 (talk) 22:37, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Search up the usage of the definite article "the". It is used before a proper noun, as a specific reference. In this case, when talking about the West Oxfordshire District Council, it's a proper noun, that's specifically being referred to. Therefore, you put "the" in front of it. This is basic grammar. As for "Past, Present, and Future", this lacks proper capitalisation in both the first and third episodes, so I'm not entirely sure of its credibility regarding punctuation. However, the official The Grand Tour Twitter account, here, uses the serial comma. Since The Grand Tour Twitter is cited in the article, but not your Amazon link, we'll go with the Twitter source instead. Sound good? Weslam123 (talk • contrib) 06:54, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
