Wikipedia:Fifteen Year Society

Would you want an invitation to join the above? Jackiespeel (talk) 18:02, 5 January 2022 (UTC)

@Jackiespeel:, been pondering how to reply to this… (Thank You); it is an interesting reminder. Less about a badge and more an observation of time (and life) passing—Wikipedia and along with OpenStreetMap one of the few electronic databases that will likely survive long-term. I guess I should accept ;-)Sladen (talk) 07:28, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
We joined WP under our names fairly close together. So what do I do with [1] - it is not clear.
There is also a 20 year society. Jackiespeel (talk) 11:55, 20 January 2022 (UTC)

@Strikerforce: usually it makes sense to develop new articles via Draft: space (often taking months to work up an article). In this specific case, it seemed sensible to skip over Draft: space—on the basis of the strength of the 1950 newspaper material—and the existence of articles in other languages. I'm happy to be corrected should that judgement call prove incorrect. (The individual would appear to be notable across a timespan of 80+ years.) —Sladen (talk) 18:59, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
@Sladen: I see the argument, although not fully sure that I agree with it. I'm still a bit uncomfortable with the fact that we're using someone's speculative involvement with a famous event as a basis for their own article. I'll reiterate here what I said on the article's TP, I'd lean toward including the information within the Anne Frank article, for now. But, I'm open to further discussion. StrikerforceTalk 20:12, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
@Strikerforce: I'm slightly unclear how facilitating the Jacques Goudstikker / Alois Miedl / Hermann Göring art stuff (returned via the 2006 Goudstikker restitution of 202 paintings) would fit on the Anne Frank article. …But I'm open to further suggestions. —Sladen (talk) 22:40, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
@Sladen: With the new information, I'm willing to concede notability and, as such, have removed the tag on the article. StrikerforceTalk 16:36, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

User:Praxidicae: please you help clarify what is trying to be achieved; perhaps myself or another can help? —The Hogeweyk article is ten years old; so any copyvios are likely to be from the Wikipedia article. (Though I have now reverted a bunch of spammy edits/removal of citations from the last few weeks). —Sladen (talk) 15:18, 25 April 2022 (UTC) (nb. the claimed copyvio page even states "Source: Wikipedia")
