February 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Arms & Hearts. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Mike Galsworthy, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! – Arms & Hearts (talk) 14:55, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Mike Galsworthy. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 11:55, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to chime in here. Arms & Hearts, I think your second message above is way over the top. Nothing that Starklinson has added to Mike Galsworthy would be defamatory even if it was completely false. I can't see anything objectionable with the sourcing for the birthdate (it's Galsworthy saying it himself on video, at exactly the timestamp given in the ref), so I've re-added it. Clayoquot (talk | contribs) 18:41, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Clayoquot: Yes, you're right, I'd missed that a source was added. Starklinson, my apologies. It's an article that I'm not inclined to put up with any nonsense on (written mostly as a puff piece by a now-blocked sock who packed it full of reliable-looking sources with nothing to do with the subject), but I should've been less hasty in this case. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 18:56, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Amita Suman[edit]

Hello, Starklinson,

Thank you for creating Amita Suman.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The lead should make more mention of the roles that actually have generated the most coverage for Suman, particularly her role in The Outpost and Doctor Who.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Rosguill}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Television shows filmed in Czech Republic[edit]

A tag has been placed on Category:Television shows filmed in Czech Republic requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Damon and Jo[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Damon and Jo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your draft article, Draft:List of Irish actors and actresses[edit]

Hello, Starklinson. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of Irish actors and actresses".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 13:15, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

JoJo and Gran Gran[edit]

I've moved this to Draft:JoJo and Gran Gran, since it doesn't quite meet the guidelines of WP:V (Melan Mag is an interview, so it's a WP:Primary source, which we can't base WP:Notability on, and the BBC source isn't independent since BBC owns the channel this show shows on). However, I've found several sources for this show that are good and show it's notable. [1], [2], and [3]. Add these in the article, and it ought to be ready to be back to the non-draft area. Odley Jean moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Odley Jean, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — YoungForever(talk) 02:45, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quick defense[edit]

Hello, Amaury and IJBall. Don't worry, I just want to clear something up. I received a notification in my Alerts box that I'd been tagged in a conversation under User talk:IJBall#Bryce Gheisar, speculating on whether I've made a second account? This is not the case at all, this is my only account here. It appears the evidence used is that I decided to do some maintenance on my Talk page after being pinged, and that the other person in question edited 3 articles that I have edited in the past (if I remember correctly for the two TUA actors, the edits were specifically to add their Commons images about a year ago).

I am prepared to respect my block for its duration, but I would rather it be over tangible errors I've made rather than things that are untrue. Thank you. Starklinson • 06:15, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
