License information needed for File:Sunny Gill.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sunny Gill.jpg. However, we need to make sure a license is correctly displayed before it is okay to use on Wikipedia.

Please click here and do the following:

  2. Paste in the template code, and save the page.

If you follow these steps, your image can help enhance Wikipedia. Thank you for your contribution! --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:06, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Sunny Gill 01.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sunny Gill 01.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:05, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

List of Jats[edit]

Please will you revert your recent contributions at List of Jats. Our policies are pretty strict when it comes to issues of stating ethnicity etc, especially if the person referred to is still alive. In that instance, WP:BLP pretty much demands that we verify using reliable sources that the person has self-identified as being a Jat. The legal consequences in failing this test could be considerable. You are reinstating inappropriate entries as a consequence. If you can provide suitable verification then that is great, but right now you have not. In addition, articles such as this list fall within the scope of our general sanctions. I will attach the appropriate explanation below this message. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 23:24, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

April 2012[edit]

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to List of Jats. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 16:01, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The name I added to jat links in cinema is Dharmendra, and the article I used to reference it had a quote from his son Sunny Deol saying Dharmendra is "the best looking jat he knows." Those are words coming directly out of his son's mouth at a press interview where both father and son were present. If such a reference is not valid, then the reference of listing Dara Singh on the site as a jat is also not valid because the article that referenced for Dara Singh didn't have anyone saying he is a jat, it was just stated by the writer that he is a jat. Also for Dharmendra's claim, the article that is used to reference Malika Sherawat has her saying "we both jats" referring to her and Dharmendra in his presence. Also there are many other jat's listed on the list in other sections like sports like Virendra Sehwag and a many others that have no reference attached, yet you have them on the list, and yet eventhough I'm providing reference for Dharmendra you are refusing. Please check the reference I have given for Dharemendra, read the article and you will see what his son says, and his son's statment making Dharmendra a Jat then also makes Sunny Deol a Jat. Adding reference on wiki articles[edit]

Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Hello Teamaps! Please do not forget to add references for the content you add to Wikipedia. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "templates",
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,

This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. thanks and regards -- ÐℬigXЯaɣ 11:56, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

Please see WP:NFILM for information on the notability of movies - an unreleased movie cannot under 99.9% of cases be notable yet. You should also recognize the a community discussion on the deletion of articles is a consensus discussion, and the closing admin merely reviews the arguments to determine consensus. For example, this discussion is pretty obvious. (✉→BWilkins←✎) 11:37, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to the Project Talk Page[edit]

I have started a discussion on WP:India talk page with topic "Why self-identification for caste verification of a person?" here

It seems that you too had a dispute with Sitush on inclusion of Dharmendra in List of Jats.

So I request you to come with your views and participate in this discussion. JC Ramek (talk) 09:27, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 13[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Simran Kaur Mundi, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Punjabi and Telugu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your draft article, Mandy Takhar[edit]

Hello Teamaps. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled Mandy Takhar.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mandy Takhar}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 17:05, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Teamaps. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ad Orientem (talk) 23:49, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pawan Gill moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Pawan Gill, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there appears to be a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 23:44, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
