Hello -- Thanks for the message that you left me back in February re your father, Professor Wildy; apologies for not responding earlier (I'm hampered by carpal tunnel which leads to rather intermittent editing). I did not know Professor Wildy personally but studied in the Cambridge Pathology Department shortly after his tenure as department chair, and was in awe of his legendary status there!

On the whole, it is best for close relatives not to edit articles directly, as all material needs to be sourced from publically accessible, reliable sources (journals, books, obituaries in newspapers and the like), and personal recollections are not permitted. It's also hard to be objective. You are advised to suggest changes on the article's talk page and allow someone else to implement them, though unfortunately the pool of editors who work on British scientists is fairly small.

I notice in my absence the article has been expanded somewhat -- I will try to improve it further. Are there any detailed obituaries or festschrifts that you could point me towards? One thing that would be useful is if you have any photographs that you would be willing to release copyright on, that would be permitted and would be a significant improvement to the article.
