Do not remove speedy tags[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --Crossmr 19:55, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

If you are interested in Ukraine-related themes, you may want to check out the Ukraine Portal, particularly the Portal:Ukraine/New article announcements and Portal:Ukraine/Ukraine-related Wikipedia notice board. The New article announcements board is probably the most important and the most attended one. Please don't forget to anounce there the new articles you create. Adding both boards to your watchlist is probably a good idea.

Finally, in case you are interested, similar boards exist at Russia portal as many editors contribute to topics related to both countries. The respective boards there are: Portal:Russia/New article announcements and Portal:Russia/Russia-related Wikipedia notice board. Of course there are also many other portals at Wikipedia or you may just get right into editing.

Again, welcome! Alex Bakharev 00:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

+1. I would also suggest to look at the Talk page archives to see where the AR bloat came from. Alex Pankratov 22:14, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Ad hoc restaurant[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ad hoc restaurant, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per speedy deletion criterion A7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. French Laundry up for deletion[edit]

Someone has placed French Laundry up for deletion. The WP:AFD discussion is at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/French_Laundry. —EncMstr (talk) 08:28, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone is an absolute idiot.

Indeed -- the #1 restaurant in the world for many years ... nonsense!

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to OpenSkies. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. SempreVolando (talk) 21:56, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Senseless (2008 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NN film

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. In List of Princeton University people, you recently added links to the disambiguation pages James McPherson and Up in the Air (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A Bent Spoon cupcake for you![edit]

Thanks for your great work over at List of Princeton University people! I'd love to put the rest of it into wikitables to prepare it for FLC. What do you think? Lagrange613 21:47, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, forgive me as while I've edited and written numerous articles, I'm not aware of the protocols for talk pages. But indeed I think that putting the rest of the article into Wikitables would be excellent. Also, there is overlap between some of the categories. Some of them separate faculty and students ... others do not. Journalists are double-listed with authors. Authors are double-listed with pulitzer prize winners. Putting thing into tables would be a great step ... go to it! Thanks, Sev Onyshkevych '83 vsevolodUser talk:vsevolod4#top 21:55, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Request citation about euro banknotes printing works[edit]

Hi Vsevolod4. I am wondering about where you found the data about the printing works that you added to the page about euro banknotes on a previous edit you carried out on 02:15, 14 June 2008. I have tried to cross-reference the addition you did on the internet but I have had no success. Thanks in advance, Infosfinaki | t 10:50, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is nonsense. Why delete a brewery which several times has held the record for the strongest beer ever. It is a legend in beer-making circles and its rivalry is one of the half-dozen biggest beer-making stories of the 21st Century. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.246.51.142 (talk) 23:03, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
