Request reason:

I am looking to make relevant updates to the WestJet Wikipedia page. I will not receive any sort of compensation for my contributions. I am not interested in posting any promotional content and will only be contributing relevant and up-to-date facts about WestJet

Decline reason:

Assuming you are employed by WestJet, you count as a paid editor with a conflict of interest. See WP:COI and WP:PAID. Additionally, your contribution so far was blatantly promotional, clearly unsuited for an encyclopedia. You will not be unblocked to write about WestJet. Hi there,

I understand now wanting promotional content on the page, however there are a number of facts on the page that are out of date that I would love to see updated. For example, WestJet Link is no longer in operation, yet it is still listed on the Wikipedia page as a subsidiary of WestJet.

This request is perhaps unconventional, but would you be able to make some updates to some important facts about WestJet? I understand you do not want promotional content on the page, please rest assured all of the content I am asking for you to update is fact based and can be cited. I would just give you the basic facts and leave you to write the content itself to ensure it is not perceived as being promotional.

I can tell that you are very passionate about WestJet and this particular page so I assumed that you would want it to be as up-to-date and factual as possible, I would be happy to help and provide any information you need. I would also be happy to notify you in future if there are any further updates that should be made to ensure the page remains up-to-date as the company makes new announcements. Just wanted to leave a note for you. After reviewing valid sources, I can confirm that WestJet Link is actually still in operation until October. Also, while it may not be a subsidiary of the company, it is an important part of WestJet's history.
