Your recent editing history at Trans-Saharan slave trade shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Instead of threating me with a ban you are welcome to explain how what I said was wrong. I repeat, the source (Selected Topics in Migration Studies, p27) does not in any way shape or form claim that the Trans Saharan slave trade is also known as the "Arab slave trade" it clearly states that the Trans Saharan trade is referred to as the Arab trade:
"The Trans-Saharan slave trade was conducted within the ambits of the trans-Saharan trade, otherwise referred to as the Arab trade"
The phrase "Arab slave trade" is never used. No modern scholar uses that wording. The comment you attached to your most recent edit is frankly useless. Unless you provide a source for your claim. I shall keep editing the page. Wiki Sidahmed (talk) 00:32, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have no involvement in or view on this issue, but I'd note that it is possible to edit war (and to get in trouble for edit warring) while being right about the substance of the issue. "Unless you provide a source for your claim. I shall keep editing the page" is really not the way to go; even if you're sure you're right (and again, for all I know, you are), solve these things through discussion and/or dispute-resolution mechanisms, not continuous reverting. It helps no one. AntiDionysius (talk) 21:03, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
