Welcome![edit]

Hello, Xi Himanshu Kumar, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Bhairon Singh Shekhawat did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Please take extra care with your edits[edit]

I'm pretty sure they are not vandalism (0.9 probability) and that you are editing the articles you have worked in with small good faith edits. I'd like to see a little more in the way of referencing for these edits, please. You seem to know your way around MediaWiki syntax, but are not quite adhering to Wikipedia best practice. This is especially important if the article is about a living person, when we have to be very careful not to add potentially defamatory material.

For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, and is in WP:RS, and is significant coverage. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources.

Please continue, but please make sure that your referencing is watertight when editing this type of article. Fiddle Faddle 13:29, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, I personally knows the person whose edit is done by me. Xi Himanshu Kumar (talk) 13:55, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In which case you have a conflict of interest. Please read WP:COI which gives you some very limited circumstances isn which you are allowed to edit those known to you personally. You still have an absolute responsibility to use references. Fiddle Faddle 14:18, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

July 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm NitinMlk. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ramesh Bidhuri, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. NitinMlk (talk) 20:25, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mentioning caste in biographies[edit]

Please do not add caste in a WP:BLP unless the subject self-identify with it – see here for details. - NitinMlk (talk) 20:29, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Brother I have provided a secure source but till you delete my edits . Like in Jagdanand Singh and Manish Sisodia ,I have provided a suitable source to Wikipedia.

Xi Himanshu Kumar (talk) 13:45, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You need to read and understand your topic ban, near the bottom of this page, which prohibits you from editing in these topics Fiddle Faddle 13:56, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to NitinMlk[edit]

Brother, I know Ramesh Bidhuri he is a Gujjar by caste. During 2019 Lok Sabha Election he met with many Gujjar leaders. Xi Himanshu Kumar (talk) 14:21, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As I have already mentioned multiple times in my edit summaries as well as in my previous post on this page, caste requires self-identification in biographies of living persons. So please only add caste in the article of a living person if they self-identify with it. Also, please avoid adding fake refs or introducing misrepresentation of the sources in articles. - NitinMlk (talk) 20:24, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@NitinMlk:, I agree with you. I have just reverted another uncited, non self identified mention of caste, and issues a level 2 warning for vandalism. Thank you for your vigilance.
Xi Himanshu Kumar You must stop entering caste details. Adding them unless both the subject self identifies and there is reference in s reliable source will mean your wikipedia career will be very short. (0.99 probability). Fiddle Faddle 20:46, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

July 2020[edit]

Discretionary sanctions alert[edit]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

I have just reverted your addition of a caste claim at Manish Sisodia. It is a poor source for this and I'm not even sure that the caste of his family has any bearing on matters. - Sitush (talk) 16:03, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And this one is a plain violation of WP:BLP, which you have been told about previously here. - Sitush (talk) 16:06, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As is this. What do you not understand? We're going to have to go through all your edits now, as if we do not have enough to do. - Sitush (talk) 16:08, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been topic banned from South Asian caste and social groups[edit]

For persistent addition of unsourced or poorly sourced material and for violations of the biographies of living persons policy, I have decided, in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the terms of this community discussion, to impose the following sanction on you:

You have been indefinitely topic banned from making any edits to pages or discussions related to South Asian castes or social groups. Please read WP:TBAN to make sure you know what topic banned means.

This sanction has been logged at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction to the community at the administrators' noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me on my talk page, before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. regentspark (comment) 21:42, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RegentsPark and other admins please see this diff which I have reverted as vandalism. Fiddle Faddle 13:29, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

July 2020[edit]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory content into an article or any other Wikipedia page again, as you did at Anand Mohan Singh, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Fiddle Faddle 13:36, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for violating your topic ban. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  regentspark (comment) 14:11, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Xi Himanshu Kumar: Please take a few minutes to review WP:TBAN. Note, also, that repeated violations of the ban will result in escalating blocks and you may soon find yourself indefinitely blocked from Wikipedia. The best way to deal with this is to edit in areas other than South Asian social groups, build a record of constructive editing, and then ask for the ban to be lifted. --regentspark (comment) 14:24, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@RegentsPark: they now seem to be socking as Special:Contributions/HimsinghRanaJi. - Sitush (talk) 11:13, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Blocked and blocked. Xi Himanshu Kumar, this is not looking good for you. If you continue to edit caste articles through sock puppets, you will be indefinitely blocked. --regentspark (comment) 15:18, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for abusing multiple accounts. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  regentspark (comment) 15:17, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Xi Himanshu Kumar, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
