WikiCite Builder[dead link] is a free online service for citing urls in Wiki citation using the {{cite}} templates.

Usage[edit]

Simple enter a url such as http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/25/nyregion/25paterson.html and it will return the formatted citation such as

{{Cite news|title=Question of Influencein Abuse Case of Paterson Aide |author=William K. Rashbaum |author2=Danny Hakim |author3=David Kocieniewski |author4=Serge F. Kovaleski |author5=Kitty Bennett |author6=Alain Delaquérière |author7=Barbara Gray |url=http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/25/nyregion/25paterson.html |publisher=[[The New York Times]] |date=25 February 2010 |accessdate=7 March 2010}}

which you can then copy/paste into the article.

Supported Sites[edit]

  • Currently only New York Times articles after 1981 are supported.
