Emboldening requests[edit]

Should the requested words be emboldened on the page? And for words that are not the names of articles, should the word and the article it's in be emboldened? --Al Ameer son (talk) 03:44, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I guess it doesn't matter too much. The design is quite nice, better than the usual Wikipedia design (or lack thereof), as befitting the eye for beauty that is characteristic of the Arabic culture. ;-) Badagnani (talk) 03:55, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, you guys are swift and great! Are you using "big" instead of bold? Does it make the Arabic easier to read? I've been using bold. Badagnani (talk) 04:39, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In the past, I've kept the script the way it is or used bold. However, lately I've realized that if you use and bold (like in Tuqu', it make's the script very easy to read. --Al Ameer son (talk) 04:47, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand; it's not bold there. Badagnani (talk) 05:00, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, now check. It was only in the infobox, now it's in both. You could look at Nablus or Bayt Jibrin too. --Al Ameer son (talk) 05:04, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a bit big, but nice, I think. I guess we could use that instead of bold from now on? There's always the chance that other users would complain. Badagnani (talk) 05:07, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine, whatever makes the text easier to read. Nice modifications for the page structure and format by the way ;) --Al Ameer son (talk) 05:48, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, it's bold AND big at Bayt Jibrin. That's really easy to read. Badagnani (talk) 05:51, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How come the "Volunteers" are numbered 1, 3, 4 not 1, 2, 3? Everything seems write in the format. --Al Ameer son (talk) 23:20, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, it's fine now... odd. --Al Ameer son (talk) 23:53, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it is 1,3,4 here... very odd! --Yazan (talk) 18:22, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Resolved

Thanks man! --Al Ameer son (talk) 18:26, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Backlog[edit]

less qualified but keen volunteers[edit]

Is there any need or use for volunteers who are keen to help but far from "professional" in their skill level? or do @Fjmustak, Arabbi, Zozo2kx, Falastine fee Qalby, and Arab League: have it covered? I've only been learning Arabic for a short time, my vocabulary is tiny, but part of why i've learnt so few words is that i've gone on a rather obsessive tangent about the script and how it's implemented in computing. I could probably help with a lot of simple questions, and i can use an Arabic keyboard, but i didn't add myself to the list because i'm very under-qualified by some standards. Quite frankly, I don't see much action on this page... The last edit was over ten years ago. That said, if you know the Arabic word that needs to be used, or can arrive at it with reasonable certainty, I don't see a reason you should refrain from adding the script. أهلا وسهلا. --Fjmustak (talk) 08:23, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
