Hi, I cannot find the info you added in the ref you cited Dictionary of Lithuanian surnames. I used the "Iveskite pavarde" window, it doesnt show anything related for words starting with 'Buj' or 'Bui'. Please clarify . Staszek Lem (talk) 21:26, 24 July 2019 (UTC)

Names of Lithuanian places in other languages[edit]
Please do not think I am kind of Polish nationalist; in fact I am of belarusian minority. (and since some my ancestors are from Hudahaj, I am wondering whether there is some ancient Lithuanian blood in me :-) My point with names in other languages is that over time some places were parts of different states with different languages. Therefore in historical sources translated into English non-native place names may be used. Therefore mentioning other names is beneficial for readers who may want to search for other information (Wikipedia is far form being complete, especially on lesser subjects). At the same time I agree that listing these names in the lead sentence is WP:UNDUE. I searched for wikipedia guidelines and found one: MOS:ALTNAME, which recommends to list alternative names in a separate section. Staszek Lem (talk) 17:39, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
